COOL measures 14.2 hands, and is a muscular, smoky black and white tovero. He is homozygous for the Tobiano marker (University of Kentucky tested), and also has overo genes, so all of his foals will be patterned either tobiano or tovero. His genetic makeup includes the dilute gene, so his foals may have a range of base colours, from black to palomino. Please feel free to contact me for further information on colour genetics and the probability of foal colours should you choose to cross Cool with your mare.
Although flashy colour is a bonus, Cool’s best attribute is his awesome disposition. He is very easy going, interested in new challenges, and generally good fun to work with. He arrived at our farm in the summer of 2004 with no training whatsoever, and initially was started on recreational trail riding. In 2005 he was entered in two Competitive Trail Rides to demonstrate his fitness and easy going disposition. He placed second in his first event, but got lost in his second outing – I guess he can’t be blamed for misreading the map!
EVENTING
In the spring of 2006 we started event training and he had his first competition in July. He is proving to have the athleticism, intelligence and versatility to handle all three phases (dressage, cross country, and stadium jumping) of this competition. Cool will be introduced to more new adventures as time permits. |
