Breeding: “Teaka’s” great-grandsire is Impressive, undoubtedly the most influential halter horse in the Quarterhorse world. Not surprisingly her grandsire, Advantage, and sire, Painted Impression were both champion halter horses (Teaka is HYPP N/N). In addition to good looking family members, Teaka has quite a few speedy relations with eight race money winners within four generations.

History: Teaka was professionally started for three months by Ted Scott at Rafter TK Ranch in 2003. She is great trail horse with many miles of recreational trail riding including the Great Cariboo Ride in 2004. She also competed successfully in Competitive Trail (Lightweight Level 1) in 2004. In 2005 she started event training (dressage, cross country jumping and stadium jumping). She had her first foal in the spring of 2006 and competed in her first event in the fall of 2006. She had her second foal April 6, 2007, and will go back into training once the foal is weaned (approximately July 1). We do not plan to breed Teaka this year, so she will be ready for a new job.

Suitability: Teaka is sane, safe and spectacular! She is suitable for a beginner to intermediate rider: she has mostly been ridden by an adult but has also been ridden in lessons on the flat and over jumps by a 13 year old girl. Teaka has done many miles on the trial (recreational rides, Poker Ride, and Competitive Trail Rides) and has started eventing (dressage, stadium and cross country jumping). She loves to jump, has great form with potential for the hunter ring, although she could also be introduced to other disciplines. Price: $9000 + gst.
